Hello everyone,
My name is Kristina, and I enjoy assisting students with learning how to master various English skills! The ultimate goal of my sessions are to provide students with a variety of tools that enable them to understand different strategies involved in developing important writing, reading, speaking, and listening skills.
I graduated from Elmira College in June 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Environmental Studies. In addition, I received my TEFL Certification from Global Language Training in October 2012.
My tutoring experience includes assisting my host family with their conversational English skills, while studying abroad in Spain. Additionally, I prepared a student for the Speaking portion of the IELTS Exam, and assisted another student with improving general conversation and writing skills.
A few methods I utilized include developing speaking skills through interview style materials, and incorporating vocabulary lists. Finally, diverse media and print materials are used during tutoring sessions to enhance different levels of reading and writing skills. In essence, I will modify my style according to the student's needs.
