I have a BBA in Accounting and specialize in Individual and Corporate Tax Returns. I have been tutoring for a while, and I really enjoy doing so. My students vary from Grades 1 through 12, as well as college students for Accounting. I tutor a variety of subjects but mainly Math and English, Reading, and Writing. I enjoy preparing students for major examinations such as the NYS ELA and Mathematics, as well as Regents and SAT. All the students whom I have been tutoring have shown improvement. I try to simplify the topic, provide practice materials for the topic, so the students can have a better understanding. When a student does well, I feel like I have done well. Some of the students have told me that they wish I was their teacher.

I really enjoy what I do and love children/people. I plan to go back to school for a second degree in Mathematics. My students love me, and they all would agree that I am nice.

Elementary (K-6th)

Study Skills

I assist the student with building vocabulary, roots, prefixes and suffixes. I help the student to understand nouns, verbs, adverbs and adjectives (their similarities and differences), and when and how to use them. I help the student to build Reading Comprehension skills and Writing. I give the student an assessment test, after which I work to build the student where he or she needs it most, while applying the student's strength to compliment and improve the overall study skills.

Business

I have a BBA degree in Accounting, and would like to give subjects in this area a try. I have had to take subjects such as Management courses, economics, Business Law I and II, marketing and more. Hopefully, you will give me a chance at this subject area.

Regents

For Regents Algebra: I have a 99% pass for the Regents Algebra including students from Wyzant. I am detail oriented. I provide practice exercises from start to finish with the student, including topics and questions that are similar to those on a Regents exam. I try to spend as much time as that student may need, and provide a variety of practice exercises.
