Hello,

Are you looking for somebody to help your child do better in his or her academic performance? Do you expect your child to score above average on NYS ELA and Math tests? Are you looking for a caring and knowledgeable tutor to help your child to achieve his or her true potential? If you are, then I am that person who can be of assistance.

I have an Associate Degree in Liberal Arts: Math & Science from LaGuardia Community College. Currently, I am pursuing my BA in English and Applied Linguistics: TESOL at Queens College.

I have several years of teaching experience. I have taught 5th, 6th, and 7th grade at a private school, right here in New York City. I have been tutoring students from kindergarten to 8th grade level for 5 years now. I have also tutored GED students and college students with their basic math course. I have volunteered in one of the branches of Queens Public Library as a tutor for TOEFL.

I love what I do and I love teaching. I am patient, compassionate and good with kids. I am well-versed in my subject areas and I believe that I'm also capable of making students tune in to their studies.

I am a teacher of a private school. I am currently teaching 7th grade, but I taught 5th grade as well. I tutored both young kids and college kids. When it comes to tutoring or teaching, I am compassionate and patient. I love teaching and I believe that a little bit of compassion and a lot of patience can make a lot of difference in a child learning.

Religion

I have taught Quran in local mosques and also in private one-on-one settings. I have taught Tajweed, Islamic Studies, prayer, and other Islamic topics to students of different age groups.

ESL/ESOL

I am a CELTA certified English teacher. It's the Cambridge Certification in Teaching English to Adults course at the Teaching House in Manhattan. I have volunteered at one of the branch of Queens Borough Public Library as a TOEFL tutor. I have also tutored younger kids to prepare for their ELA and math exams. Currently, I'm working at an adult literacy program as the admin assistant.

I would love to help anybody with their quest in achieving a good rapport in English.

You can buy one of our standard 5, 10 or 15% packages or customize your own package based on how much tutoring you need. The credit you purchase can be used towards any tutor at any time and does not expire. If you do not use the entire package, we will simply deduct what you did spend on tutoring from your original purchase price and give you a refund. Discount packages start as low as $190.
