Dear students and parents,

I'm a very caring, patient and intelligent instructor for different types of students. Teaching and learning have been my passion and goal of my life. I like to help students learn and challenge new subjects.

I have many years of tutoring in the various subjects in Japan and US. I have taught English, mathematics and Asian languages. My students' age group is ranged from elementary level, working adults and college professors.

I have dual Master's degrees specialized in finance and accounting. I have many years of experience working in finance institutions; I can teach business related, finance and accounting as my expertise. From my international experience, I can teach Asian languages to American students and English to Asian speakers.
I like to teach elementary level students in mathematics, reading, writing and study skills.

Especially, I would love to work with students who have difficulty in learning some concepts and subjects. Everyone has a different learning curve and different level of achievement. I can make an easy explanation and give many examples to help understanding. My main method of teaching students is to give a clarification and motivation to achieve a higher level. Clarification is a good way to enjoy learning subjects they would like to study.

Thank you for reading my profile. Looking forward working with you in near future.

Regards,

Seukyung

Thanks so much for your comment in a short period of time.
I enjoy working with your son. He has a good ability to observe a little difference and follow writing stroke. I try to make lesson contents fun and easy for young students. This is the best way to keep them being interested in learning a language. I try to approach in many different ways how to help them memorize more words.
After more lessons, I plan to teach him how to make a sentence. I will see how it works.

"Very helpful for learning Japanese"

Dear Terence,

Thanks for learning with me over the years.
You have a high enthusiasm and are persistent in your efforts in learning Japanese.

I have tried many different ways to acquire more vocabularies and how to apply them in reading comprehension. I used these methods to help you learn Kanji and Keigo expressions. It was a part of a long-term project for you to do. I hope you continue to work by yourself and pay attention to more details.

I wish you the best luck in going to Japan for your studies.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Business

I have dual master's in finance/accounting. I have worked in banking sectors last ten years. I'm very familiar with business management concepts; business environment, industry/sector and company analysis, business valuation, and business cash flow.

From my experience, subject of business is very broad concept involving many different perspectives of economy. This is not only one-sided coin of learning area. I have worked in financing business start up or working capital. As a banker, I have to understand risk mitigating factor, growth & failure factor, competition and financing methods. We will have to estimate business cash flow and pay-back period as well.

From all my experience and education, I'm a highly qualified tutor of teaching business subject. This is not an easy area of studying, but I like to teach students.

Please let me know if there is any question.

Thank your for your review.

Japanese

As a native speaker of Japanese and Korean, I'm highly qualified to teach two languages. I have taught Japanese to many students in various levels about five years.

I have obtained my educational background from a top rank Japanese university. I can give you some guidance on Japanese culture, manner and life style in addition to language.
It is my pleasure to teach Asian languages to American students. I can make it easy to learn for some challenging subjects.

Korean

I'm highly qualified to teach Korean to various levels of students. It is because I am a native Korean speaker and had a primary education in Korea up to high school. I also had a learning experience many foreign languages. I utilized my own experience of learning foreign languages. In the past years, I have taught Korean language to many different age groups;

I had a private lesson for two Japanese students(one elementary and one adult student) for the purpose of business languages. I had one private lesson for American student in college level. I had many years experience teaching business Korean language to group students who were the employees of Japanese company of NEC.

I had used different teaching/tutoring methods for those students because their age, native languages and purpose of learning were all different. Japanese students had a difficulty to master pronouncing correctly. American students have a learning difficulty to understand grammar and word order.

I had given many practices of grammar and writing to students. For the group lesson, I had given an actual lesson of practicing conversation and changing some topic on their own.

Thank you for your consideration.
