Hi,

To introduce myself, I am a graduate from Stony Brook University (one of the top 10 science schools in the country). I am a results-driven professional with a hands on approach to inquiry based learning and a genuine commitment to differentiated instruction. I combine confident communication skills with a contagious enthusiasm and demonstrated ease in conversing across diverse audiences. I have a thorough understanding of state requirements, laboratory skills and terminology. I try my best to teach as a guide to promote the development of cognitive skills.

I have found that facilitating rather than dictating to be a highly beneficial style of instruction. As a teacher this past year, I practiced a hands-on teaching style that made courses “come-alive” using pedagogical techniques to make learning enjoyable and memorable. I strive to inspire and motivate my students. It is an especially important goal of mine to instill a love of learning and a desire for new knowledge.

Track & Field

I was the captain of Track and Field and Cross Country at West Babylon Senior High School. I was a top competitor and my coach often relied on me to win each race to gain the most points for my team. I participated in every single running event from 100 meters to the 5K including high jump, hurdles, long jump, shot put and discus. Regents

I am a NYS certified Biology teacher. I preparer my students throughout the school year to pass true Biology Regents Exam. This course is normally taken my 9th 10th grade and sometimes 9th grade honors students. Last year all of my students passed the Bioligy Regents exam. I have review books and practice test materials.
