My background is most suited to teaching math and science related fields. My schooling history includes a Masters in marine and atmospheric science, and a Bachelors degree in ecology, evolution, and animal behavior. The most recent standardized test I have taken is the GRE, on which I scored 770/800 on the math section. My teaching history includes one year of being a teaching assistant at the college level. I taught a three hour practical lab in introductory biology once a week to approximately 30 students. During this lab I coordinated coursework, graded assignments, administered practical exams, held office hours, and helped to develop exams. I was also a teaching assistant for an oceanography course in which I held office hours, and graded tests and assignments. My teaching philosophy is to teach applied knowledge rather than memorizing steps or facts, so that problems the student has never come across before can be solved with logic and reasoning.
