After teaching Latin in the South Huntington public school system for over thirty years, I spent many years teaching Literature courses at Iona College, and then Education courses in the graduate school of Dowling College on Long Island. I then accepted a position as Latin teacher at the Academy of St. Joseph in Brentwood, where I created a program which thrived until, sadly, the school closed its doors two years ago. I have taught and tutored Latin to a range of students--from grades seven through twelve, to some struggling to pass to others wanting to be prepared for elite college programs. For my pleasure, I read ancient Latin literature on a daily basis, and take great pleasure in seeing my "Latin scholars" succeed, not only in their Latin classes, but in all their educational endeavors.
