I am an Accounting Professional who has over 25 years of experience in the business and accounting field. Currently, I work for 3 small organizations as their Office Manager/Business Manager and Accountant. I have loved accounting ever since the first class I took in High School and deeply enjoy working in the business environment. The important thing to understand is that Accounting is not a Math course. While there is simple math involved, accounting is more a structured puzzle. I would love to have the opportunity to explain the principals and the applications of accounting and look forward to tutoring students. In addition to accounting, I am able to teach the basics of business, Quickbooks, management, as well as Microsoft Office.

Microsoft Excel

Excel - arguably the best software program in existence. Of course I may be prejudiced. I love Excel and use it for all factions of my life whether it be balancing my checkbook, organizing the guest list for a party, or arranging my address book. I would love to show you how easy this program is to use.

Microsoft Word

Word - a wonderful word processing program which can save tons of time and frustration. Word is great for mail merge documents, term papers, as well as simple correspondence. I look forward to the opportunity to show you the "tricks of the trade" in making this program function for you.

Accounting

I love Accounting and would love to teach it to others. Accounting is often misconstrued as "math" however that is not accurate. Accounting is best described as a puzzle which requires simple math knowledge to complete.

QuickBooks

I currently run my own Accounting Consulting business as well as maintain all books/records for 3 small organizations. All of these operations are performed using the QuickBooks criteria. QuickBooks is a great little accounting program which is extremely simplistic to use. Unfortunately, it is also quite easy to make costly errors. I look forward to helping you learn ways to avoid those errors or, worst case scenario, repair those errors.
