With twenty-five years of combined art and teaching experience, I am currently teaching Art at Sage Day High School in Boonton, NJ. My responsibilities include preparing and delivering lesson plans, which include both Western and Asian prospective on Fine Art.
I have a unique background that will help make me an excellent teacher for your need. As a young woman, I had two passions, teaching and painting. After obtaining a Bachelors Degree in Education, I became a full time teacher for three years in China. I really enjoyed the experience, particularly working with my students. However, my passions for art eventually lead me to leave the teaching profession to pursue my other dream of becoming a full time artist. After two decades of success as an Artist in Japan and the United States, I have returned to my first love, teaching. In the past five years, I have been teaching Art and Asian Cultural classes in various schools, colleges and commercial artist studios.
I am fluent in English, Chinese and Japanese. Currently I am half way through the Mandarin Chinese Teaching Certification Program at William Patterson University.
Sincerely,
Ping
