My Background & Theory:
My life dream is to make the world a more beautiful place and I am a firm believer that Art is an important (and fun) way to do just that! Learning, practicing and teaching art has always been the pulse in my life & I wish to share this passion with others. As a recent College Graduate, I have a BA in Visual Arts and currently work at Mackenzie-Childs, LLC as a decorator. During school, I was an Art Teachers Assistant, an Orientation Leader, as well as a Resident Advisor. I have experience with the Art Gallery & Non-profit Art Center settings as well. As a working Mother, I still practice art at home; I have a variety of skills including drawing (graphite/colored pencil/pastel/charcoal/pen), painting (acrylic/watercolor), digital photography, collage, polymer clay crafts, and ceramics.
In accordance with the Times, I prefer to teach online; YouTube, Skype, and Email. Not only does this tutoring style provide focused and direct learning, but it also safes time for both teacher and student to truly spend essential time practicing and learning, independently and guided. My online courses are twice a week, one course for tutorial and learning the new assignment while the following course is for critique and review of last weeks work. Each course averages an hour of instruction, but further learning is encouraged through email and video updates throughout the week. Working knowledge of the computer is necessary - using email, Skype, and any other related communicative sources as seen fit.
