My tutoring experience started when I was still a college student. As a chemistry major student, I was able to tutor high school chemistry, from 10R to AP. I was credited for being able to help student improve grades, and scoring high in College Entrance Chemistry Exam.
My Ph.D. was in physical chemistry at SUNY Stony Brook where I also served as TA and gave tutor sessions for honor chemistry, organic chemistry, and physical chemistry.
I am always enthusiastic about teaching chemistry. During tutoring session, I like to start with basic principles, especially to be instructive. The key point is to help student not to "fear" chemistry. Then problem solving will be the next step to focus. There is no shortcut to get a good grade except practicing. That is my experience through many years of tutoring chemistry.
As a scientist, I am also specialized in math and science including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, and physics. With focus on problem solving skills, I am confident to offer help in test prep such as SAT and ACT math.
