ESL/ESOL

I am TEFL Certified, with more than 6 years of ESL teaching experience including younger students (elementary, secondary), and higher education, or international adult students seeking ESL training for the workplace or university. I am experienced and trained in professionalism, diversity, cultural awareness, ESOL and am also NY State ESOL certified.

Speech

I have taught speech courses in an adult language center for 2 years preparing ESL, adult students, and English students for presentations in front of audiences, as well as pronunciation help.

Social Studies

I have more than 5 years teaching experience with middle and high school World History, and 7-12 American History. Also, within the DOE file for NY State, I have provisional and professional certification for Social Studies grade 9-12, and can substitute in this subject area within public schools. I tutor American history, standardized NY State Examination (8th grade), AP World history, AP Euro, and/or Global regents.
