My name is Marina and I am a student pursuing my fourth year undergraduate degree in Speech and Language Pathology. I will be receiving my master's degree in Speech Pathology in 2016 and I am looking for a part-time job as a Special Intervention tutor.
I am in the honor roll and have had experience in working with children with autism. I have tutored children with language delays and learning disabilities. This summer I interned at Harvard University. I've worked with children aged 12months-13years old at various settings such as residential homes, daycares, schools, experimental labs and doctor's offices. I enjoy working with children and creating lesson plans and activities to further aid their learning and help them grow intellectually. My major in Speech Pathology has allowed me to learn more about children's development and work with children with autism and other developmental needs.
The reason why I chose to pursue a degree in Speech Pathology is because I love working with children with developmental needs and most importantly, because I strongly believe in change. All children are capable of success. Those who seem to be like an outcast, maybe just have a different way of learning that they have not yet been exposed to. With love and support from their families and tutors like myself, those children will reach their full potential. It is my hope that every child will experience and then embrace the power in communication and that embracing this power will ultimately lead to continued growth and development, liberation, the freedom of speech.
Please feel free to contact me if you would be interested in learning more about my experience and availability.
