I have a BA in Computer Graphics from Pratt Institute, NY. My experience includes 16 years as PrePress Technician, and Graphic Designer. I have tutored privately for 2 years, and I am interested in tutoring students in all ages.
I usually meet up student at starbucks or Barnes & Noble near the Bayside area.
For Manhattan and Long Island lesson I'll have to charge $45, And Queens lesson would be $35.
The minimize charge is 1 hour, time clock goes every 5 mins. Which is saying if we happen spend 70 mins. I will just submit 70 mins. It's very flexible.
Family and multiple service discounts are available.
Notes:
-In-person tutoring only done in Manhattan, Long Island and Queens
-Tutoring Appointment must last for at least 1 hour
-Be Aware of the Cancellation Policy and Fee. Must cancel 24 hours before the appointment to avoid this.
-My open schedule are: Weekday start 5pm, weekend start 9am
*** As a Disclaimer: Above 1 hour for just travel is too long. My schedule is very busy as is, so I have a minimal amount of time for just travel.
Many of these students wanted future lessons and said my tutoring was great and helpful, wanting new lessons. That is what the stars should reflect. I understand it can be upsetting and I really am sorry, but I am trying the best I can with the amount of time I have. If I was able to accomodate everyone I would, but I am only one person and there are only so many hours in a day. ***
Therefore this is new,
-For new students more than 1 hour away that really want tutoring by me, I will have to start charging an extra 20 minutes for travel time and must have tutoring for at least an 1 hour and 15 minutes. Distance will be based using Google Maps and my actual transit. If trip ends up taking longer than predicted by Google Maps, 1 hour for first session is fine, but future sessions will need to be longer than 1 hour. If you really want lessons and are willing to pay a little extra, this can be an option for you.
