Dear Prospective Student,
I have been teaching accounting principles, intermediate accounting, computerized accounting, auditing, business mathematics, economics, and tutoring accounting students in the position of adjunct faculty at business schools and community colleges since 2001. My specialties are accounting for municipal and state government, nonprofits, foundations, professional and religious organizations, schools, service and professional organizations, merchandisers, private banks, railroads, and mass transit.
Learning is an active process. Experience shows that students grasp difficult concepts more readily when more than 50% of their time is spent completing exercises, and are engaged in guided instruction and problem solving.
My typical student is in the workforce, between 20 and 40, and interested in advancing their careers through further accounting training. This student may be American, European, Asian, African, Caribbean, or from South America.
My academic credentials are a Bachelor of Arts, Accounting from Herbert H. Lehman College CUNY, and a Master of Science for Teachers, Business Education from PACE University, and a Certificate in Computer Programming with a COBOL Language Specialty from New York University. I am a Certified Public Accountant, and a member of American Institute of Certified Public Accountants' Continuing Education committee.
Please contact me regarding your tutoring and coaching needs. Looking forward to hearing from you.
