My name is Alex and I am a graduate of Quinnipiac University, with a degree in Film, Video, and Interactive Media, and a concentration in Small Business Management and Entrepreneurship. I have held many jobs in the field of film and television which has given me the proper skills to become a tutor in the programs in which I am approved. I have many proficient skills in film Pro/Postproduction, and have been trained in software such as Final Cut Studio, Adobe Premier Pro, Adobe After Effects, Color, and DVD Studio Pro. I am also well trained with Adobe Photoshop.
I have worked for Quinnipiac University as a production assistant and editor, where I worked on a variety of videos consisting of lectures, presentations, promotions, faculty requested videos, and university/campus wide events. I was also a crew member and editor of the Quinnipiac Medical School Documentary. I have also worked for Howard Stern TV, in their postproduction department working consisting as an Assistant Editor for the Howard Stern Show, Ronnies Block Party, and Commercials. My other duties were organization of tape library, dubbing tapes, and other preproduction/postproduction needs. Other companies I have worked for include Refinery 29, Lively Productions, Disney/ABC Networks, ESPN, and I am currently employed with an athletic team as their TV Producer.
For the past eight years, I have worked with four different versions of Adobe Photoshop. My skills have been honed through personal use and my experience at Refinery 29 doing product photo edits and layouts, and video production, at Quinnipiac University for many title cards and other photo edits in conjunction with video production, and lastly at Howard Stern TV. I have a wide range of knowledge of many of the Adobe Products and consider myself well trained in the program.
I have studied the art of film making for the past 4 years at Quinnipiac University. With 3 budgeted short films under my belt, positions held at Howard Stern TV, ESPN, Refinery 29, Quinnipiac University, and a bunch of freelance work I believe I have a solid understanding of what it takes to make a film. As well as understanding what it takes my extensive knowledge of film has come from my own personal experience. Having produced all three films, directed one, camera operated for all and edited two, I have understood almost all aspects of production. Those these are not my only works in film though the top three that represent my knowledge and skill.
Currently I have been studying Film, Video, and interactive media at Quinnipiac University for the past 4 years. As a student I have made countless videos ranging from documentaries to short drama productions. My work as a student has enabled me to gain more experience professionally. I have been employed by Quinnipiac University doing all of their video production work consisting of lecture capture, orientation videos, special presentations, campus events, and Quinnipiac's Medical School Documentary. From there I have worked for Howard Stern TV on their post production, and Refinery 29 doing all of their DIY video productions and editing. Each one of these positions has required me to use multiple types of cameras ranging from digital (Canon 7/5 D, Canon t4i, etc) to video cameras. My knowledge is extensive in aperture, lighting, focus, and all that is needed to produce a solid framed photograph
