I am a Japanese exchange student from Tokyo and I currently study at St. John’s University. As a student, I am very hard working and I would like to work as hard in tutoring Japanese also.
I have worked as an English tutor when I was in Japan.
Also, I was an assistant at a kids' dance club so I work well with kids.
As for teaching Japanese, I did an internship as a Japanese teacher in Vancouver, Canada in spring 2012. I also took two Japanese teaching methods courses in college.
I am willing to help students learn Japanese using various methods so that they will keep their interest in Japanese. I would like to teach not only mere grammar but also cultural aspects of Japan and pragmatic use of the language. Also, I would like to be flexible in teaching methods according to students’ specific needs. So please feel free to discuss any requests with me.
I myself have studied English and Korean for several years, so I know what it’s like and how hard it is to learn other languages. I will be very understanding in teaching students.
I am available on mostly on weekends and on some weekdays. (I am still not sure about next semester's schedule but I am pretty sure that I will have some time on weekdays also.)
If interested, feel free to contact me.
