I am interested in the mathematics tutoring position because I believe with my acquired skills, and education where I have a Bachelors in Education, a Bachelors in Mathematics, and a Masters degree in Educaton, that I would be an asset to the tutoring community. My teaching experience within an alternative setting for the past three years and two years in a suburban environment will enable me to be successful in the mathematics instructional position as well. My teaching experience, surpassing the states requirements, will enable me to be a successful tutor.
I have developed skills to design and implement multiple unit plans across many academic subjects benefiting my future students and my professional career as a teacher. I understand the numerous needs of students with multiple types of disabilities and can accommodate for those student needs, as well as applying a variety of teaching techniques, both for classroom management and lesson plan implementation. I am able to create and establish positive student-teacher relationships with students.
