I am currently working on my doctorate (PhD) in Anthropology. The focus of my training is in skeletal biology, so a majority of my background is in anthropology, human anatomy, and basic forensics. However I have also worked 4 years as a one-on-one tutor for student support programs at universities that service undergraduates in need of personal assistance. This has given me the opportunity to branch out and tutor in math and english.

In addition to teaching, I have a lot of practical hands-on experience with these subjects as I have conducted a lot of fieldwork across the U.S. as an archaeological field technician and in Rwanda, Africa, as a archaeological field director, researcher, and French translator. I have a Masters in Human Biology and taught a college course which focused on anatomy. While pursuing my graduate degree I took a course in Gross Anatomy, which involved the full dissection of a human cadaver. In addition I have worked as a teaching assistant for similar courses in Human Anatomy.

Over the past 7 years I have also worked as a full-time and part-time field archaeologist. I have conducted excavations of both prehistoric and historic sites, predominantly in Indiana as well as Pennsylvania and Florida. My job responsibilities included recording all observations, collecting artifacts, creating details site maps, and cleaning and cataloguing artifacts.
As a graduate student, I was a teaching assistant for 7 separate courses in Clinical Microbiology. I prepared laboratory sessions for each class and aided students in procuring and growing cultures (bacterial samples), preparing microscopic slides, and examining and identifying bacteria under the microscope.
