I am proficient in the following broad subjects: sciences, math
, and english
. More specifically, I am adept in Biology
, Math (Pre-algebra
, Algebra, and Geometry
), Basic Writing
, Human Anatomy
, Osteology, Anthropology
(Cultural and Physical/Biological), Archaeology
, Forensic Science
, and Criminology.
In addition to subject tutoring, I also offer expertise in study skills
, note-taking skills, and test-taking skills, which are essential to bettering students for the future.
I am currently working on my doctorate (PhD) in Anthropology. The focus of my training is in skeletal biology, so a majority of my background is in anthropology, human anatomy
, and basic forensics. However I have also worked 4 years as a one-on-one tutor for student support programs at universities that service undergraduates in need of personal assistance. This has given me the opportunity to branch out and tutor in math and english.
My teaching experience also lends to the quality of tutoring you will receive. Since 2009, I have taught several college courses as an adjunct instructor to both undergraduates and graduate students. These include advanced courses such as Crime Scene Archaeology, Human Osteology, Zooarchaeology, Environmental Evidence, and Biology for Artists. In addition to teaching, I have a lot of practical hands-on experience with these subjects as I have conducted a lot of fieldwork across the U.S. as an archaeological field technician and in Rwanda, Africa, as a archaeological field director, researcher, and French
translator. These supervisory roles have taught me how to better train and tutor students, particularly during stressful times.
