I'm here to help you discover a new love of reading and writing! I'm very patient and therapeutically oriented towards helping you build motivation and develop skills you did not know you were capable of having! I'm a very accomplished writer and artist with lots of creative and critical writing experience. I tutor all subjects associated with English Literature and Writing.
I tutored writing through high school into college and assistant taught a film class at my college after graduating. And I look forward to helping more people turn around their fatigue around literature so that they can get better grades and have fun doing it! I have worked with students high school age and up to graduate level. But would be happy to work with younger students and can help instill a longlasting love of writing and reading.
I came out of college with a 3.77 GPA and since then have been writing poetry and criticism and tutoring. I have been published in The Boston Review, The Brooklyn Rail, The Volta, HTMLGiant, Bomb Magazine, Coldfront. I had a featured solo show of my film work at Anthology Film Archives and have performed at the Whitney Museum of American Art.

In addition to being a filmmaker who has had a solo presentation of my works at Anthology Film Archives, I have a complete knowledge of the history of film. I have written about film for the Brooklyn Rail and also completed a year of Film History at Bard College, that went from silent to the present. I have taken classes in experimental film history. Not only do I love film and film history but I love teaching it to others, and have many ways to organize that history so that it can be easily memorized.

Public Speaking

Since graduating college I have read or performed at Berl's Poetry Salon, the Poetry Project, Cage Gallery, Bureau of General Services Queer Division and Segue. All of these events have had at least 50 members in attendance. I have exemplary confidence with public speaking and am able to help others through a tutoring that helps to point out weak spots and build strength to make the most seamless public speech possible.

Social Studies

I have received an A in multiple social studies classes and have written on economics, cultural history, and anthropology in professional journals. When I have tutored (at Bard college) it was in English and Social Studies. I am able to help students grasp the fundamentals of writing papers in Social Studies and to excel beyond to a college level ability.

Video Production

I have directed two narrative features. The first played in a solo presentation of my work at Anthology Film Archives. I know how to use all HD cameras and am able to teach all of Adobe's post-production suite (after effects, premiere etc). And also Final Cut Pro and iMovie. I was a film major in college where I received the Sidney Peterson filmmaking award, named after the legendary avant-garde filmmaker.
