In my first year of college, I encountered a professor who didn't merely teach me to write, but who taught me--like Dorothy in "The Wizard of Oz"--that the power to do so was always within me. In her words, "writing is a muscle. The more you flex it, the better you become." She ignited a passion in me to write and to work with those who don't necessarily consider themselves good writers or shun any type of writing in general.
The thing is, innately, we all have inclinations towards using descriptive words, playing with adjectives, and even the being crafty with the creative use of language to express verbal images and convey everything from feelings to special moments in time. The pivotal point for any budding writer is to hone, chisel and perfect his craft by first finding his/her voice. I am confident that no matter what your previous challenges have been to date, you will become excited about writing.
As a contracted author-in-process, I look forward to sharing my journey with you and helping you begin or continue your own with a new outlook on the writing process and a renewed passion for flexing the "writing muscle".
So let's talk. Better yet, let's write!
