I have been a teacher for twenty years. I've had the unique opportunity of teaching K through 12 as well as university-level art courses. In my twenty years of teaching, I have worked with special needs students, in-museum education and out reach, and worked with at-risk students in urban schools in a special program here in New York City. I also founded and directed a visual arts camp for middle and high school age youths. For the past thirteen years, I have been teaching at an elite, private school for girls in Manhattan.
I have also maintained a career as a visual artist and writer. I have collaborated with various performing artists in New York City and abroad. I'm active in the arts community in New York and Los Angeles, having shown nationally and in Europe.
I am patient teacher. I believe in inquiry-based learning, helping a student find his or her own way to creatively think and problem solve.
