In August of 2009 I was hired as a graduate assistant during my graduate course of study. I was in a position as the laboratory instructor for the general chemistry and biochemistry laboratories. Within this position I was responsible for providing laboratory instruction, holding office hours for help with coursework, and ensuring that students attained academic success in college.
In the fall of 2011, I was hired by Buffalo Prep. Buffalo Prep is a non-profit tutoring organization within the city of Buffalo designed to help ensure the academic success of students from disadvantaged backgrounds. As an academic tutor, I tutored in subjects such as the following: calculus, algebra, trigonometry, geometry, chemistry, and biology. My tutoring style is one that tries to adapt to all styles of learning in order to ensure the best possible outcome for the student. I always make my lessons as interactive as possible to keep the students interested in learning.
