I am an artist, a scientist, and a teacher. I have taught 13 years in NYC public schools. I have proven success with an average of 90% passing the Earth Science Regents exam over the last 5 years and 100% of privately tutored students passing with an 85% mastery (which means 85% score 85% or higher on the exam). I recently left The Brooklyn H.S. of the Arts to freelance as a consultant and tutor.
I focus on understanding rather than test taking skills. Once a thorough understanding of each concept is reached, a bit of time will be spent learning particular testing skills. I guarantee a passing score on the Regents Exam but more importantly I guarantee a wider and deeper knowledge of the world we live in. And who knows, perhaps a bit of inspiration!
