I have more than ten years of experience working in the field of accounting and currently hold two master's degrees in Accounting. I recently worked as controller where I headed up a department of five accounting clerks and lead our team to meet the required deadlines for both governmental and nongovernmental agencies using the standards designated by the Financial Accounting Standard Board and US GAAP. In most cases, I had to exercise extreme patience, sometimes over the course of a few days, as I walked through the accounting tasks with some of the clerical employees using excel spreadsheets. Even some of our board members had no clue about basic accounting and needed all the help they could use in order to ensure that they fully understood the financial reports that I placed in front of them.
