Hi!

I recently graduated from a Master's program where I received an M.A. in Strategic Communication. I held several internships prior to my Master's program, all circling around design, photography, and print. I feel confident enough with my work experience, my years of freelancing, and my undergraduate degree in Graphics to be able to teach it to anyone.

I have taught friends and classmates in the past, or assisted in projects around design labs. I even taught my siblings!

In general I have a very hands-on approach to teaching. That's how I was taught, and I believe that when you give someone a task or a challenge they learn faster.

I have been a graphic designer for a architecture and design magazine, a designer for a wide-format printer, and am currently employed as an account coordinator for an large advertising house.

Study Skills

I have two degrees, and have taught myself how to study and work hard. I have never had lower than a 3.5 semester GPA. When I was in university I frequently led study sessions for my major topics to help people study. So much of the problem that people have is not necessarily the material, but the way they process it. The key is not forcing yourself or cramming knowledge, but taking the time to understand it and absorb the information.

Photography

I collect cameras, and currently am shooting with a Nikon D2X. I have been hired for freelance photography work in the past, including several weddings.

Adobe InDesign

I have worked as a layout and design assistant at the local university for 2 years as part of my Master's assistantship. Furthermore I have a degree in graphic communications from Clemson University where I learned both InDesign and Quark.

If you do not use the entire package, we will simply deduct what you did spend on tutoring from your original purchase price and give you a refund. Discount packages start as low as $190.
