A 2012 graduate of Brooklyn College, I have taught sixth and seventh grade levels in Junior High School. During my student teaching, I did my lesson plans and created fun activities for my classes every day to help to engage my students in my classes. Moreover, I also helped the special education students with their difficulties about math. While I was helping students, they did better on math and also improved on concentration and participation.
At the present time I am teaching students for an after school program. This position enables me to provide those students with a “head start” in mastering basic skills and also gives me an opportunity to help students with their homework. Moreover, I also can focus on the needs of each student and help him/her improve on his/her weak areas.
I also have tutoring experience. I tutor 2nd to 7th graders in math and English individually to help to improve their reading, writing and math skills. To be a tutor, my goal is to help students achieve their own potential and get what they come for. I love to teach students. I have passion and enthusiasm about teaching. I have more than five years' experience in teaching, including 2 semesters of student teaching in secondary public school.
