Hello! You are probably here because you recognize that doing well on the right test can mean the difference between a good college and a great college or a solid legal education and an outstanding legal education. Unless you really love working through LSAT logic games or trigonometry, a good tutor can really help you improve your score dramatically!
A bit about myself: I recently graduated from Yale Law School and I am currently applying to PhD programs in political science. I have been a teaching assistant or tutor for around 8 years. I understand that patience, persistence, and clarity are three essential elements to tutoring successfully. I also like to keep the tutoring sessions fun and interesting. I have a pretty decent sense of humor (for a legal type), which is occasionally helpful when working through logic problems for a few hours!
Before entering law school I studied graphic design and photography at the New York School of Visual Arts and at the Savannah College of Art and Design. I still shoot and take on small graphic design projects from time to time, so I continue to hone my knowledge of Photoshop and photo editing.
Thinking about law school? As you already know, getting a great score on the LSAT is crucial. Having scored in the 99th percentile on the LSAT myself and having taken probably hundreds of practice tests, I can help guide you through the exam. I can also share the tips that I used to conquer the test.
Along the way we'll cover the basic logic you'll need on all portions of the exam, common and easily avoidable mistakes, and plenty of other things that aren't always addressed: how to draw quick and helpful diagrams, how to psychologically prepare for the exam itself, and more. Who knows, you might even come to enjoy those dreaded logic games! (No guarantees here I'm afraid...)
I understand that applying for law school can be super stressful, so as an extra service I would also be happy to take a look at your personal statement, short essay, statement of intent, or any other part of the application.
As an undergraduate art student I studied all aspects of the Mac operating system and Mac computers generally.
As a graphic designer and audio engineer I am conversant in all major audio and visual Mac software. Additionally, I have extensive publishing experience, including experience in Mac software such as InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator. Lastly, I can also assist with issues involving IPods, IPads, Mac OSX issues and more.
I have an Undergraduate and Master's Degree in Philosophy, and I love thinking about and grappling with philosophical arguments and concepts. I would be happy to tutor students of all levels.
Wonderful Tutor! — Nick has been an amazing tutor! His knowledge of philosophy, graphic and web design, editing, and history have allowed me to not only succeed but excel in my graduate courses. While he is incredibly affordable, what is more impressive is his willingness and eagerness to work with his students on any problem or issue in order to see them thrive in their chosen area of study. ...
