One of the things I do my best to do is teach others to learn what they don't know. I majored in English Education when I first got to college, but soon realized it wasn't enough. I added Professional Writing and Social Studies as my minors. After graduating college, I began substitute teaching in various junior high school and high schools throughout Brooklyn. I quickly found a permanent substitute teaching position at a junior high school in Fort Greene, and began teaching mathematics and science to special needs students.
A year after, I began teaching English (Language Arts) at a high school in Fort Greene, as well. I did this for a few years before being switched to the Social Studies department. I had to take on such role due to my flexibility. Since my second year of teaching, I also started taking Grad courses and tutoring at the Writing Center at L.I.U. In all academic places I have had great success; many students had even requested me after having regular tutoring sessions for a semester.
I can adapt my mind very well to whatever is needed of me to tutor/teach. I admit that my strengths lie in the Humanities. Do know that I do not give 100%, as that may not be enough. I do whatever it takes to get the job done!
