Hello! I am excited to get the chance to help your elementary age student with Reading, Writing, Math, Science or Social Studies challenges. I have a Master's Degree in Elementary Education from the University of South Florida, and I am certified in Elementary Education (K-6), Exceptional Student Education (K-12), Art (K-12), and ESOL (K-12).
All of my students get differentiated and individual plans to guide them toward mastery of the material. I gradually release the student to do more thinking and work on their own, but give as much support as necessary to review previously learned concepts in fun and new ways. I have worked with ESE students with ADHD, Dyslexia, and other general learning disabilities such as long and short term memory deficits. My students have had great success on standardized tests in Reading, Writing, and Math.
I also have a background in Medieval and Renaissance, and 17th - 19th century art, history, and literature. I would be happy to also tutor students in AP Art History, AP European History, or any middle, high, or college Literature or Art Class. I graduated from New College of Florida with a B.A. in Medieval/Renaissance studies.
