Good Day, Everyone!
My name is Tenille and believe it or not, I love math! I love it so much that I took it on as my major at CUNY-Hunter College.
Math tends to be the subject that kids/adults either love or hate. But I say, like every subject, there is a middle ground. It's all about how math is broken down.
The break down is not only what makes math, but what also makes it understandable and workable. For me, the breakdown is what a personal tutor can guarantee their students, while a teacher of 30+ may want to, however, can not always guarantee.
I've spent the last three years, and counting, witnessing first-hand the positive effects a personal tutor can have on a child's perspective and grades in math. I work as a personal, independent tutor through Champion Learning Center. They are operated through the Board of Education, so I have current knowledge of what kids are learning today.
Through a local learning center, I have the privilege to work with kids from as young as the first grade to as old as high school seniors. It's a wide range, but math is one of those few subjects that you need each level in order to succeed to and in the next. This makes for an excellent refresher course for me and also let's me see how things are taught now.
I do, however, have my personal preference of working with children from grades 3 to 10.
Well, that's just a brief story of myself and why I choose to tutor. If it sounds good for you and your child, I looking forward to hearing from you!
Have a great day!
Tenille
