I am a certified teacher with 15 years of experience with children and adults of all ages. I use effective and proven methods to increase test scores in math and reading. I teach in a way that allows all students to understand and enjoy learning, using technology, music, rhythm, and various other encoding methods wherever possible. My students get great results, and gain confidence and success in the process.
In school, I have studied cognitive psychology (the ways in which our brain processes and converts new information from short term into long term memory), educational psychology (the best teaching and learning techniques), and childhood development (the development of children at each age, and what they are capable of doing and learning, as well as the best practices of education at each stage of development). I have had great results in test prep, and I am an extremely effective and caring educator.
