Hello and Congratulations!

Finding great resources for help is not only a means to achieve better grades but a life-skill that will benefit you throughout your future.
Hence, why I say "congratulations!" You're already a head of the curve.

I would be honored to work with you and help you go even further in the areas of Science and Math.

I love teaching these subjects because I've realized that they are not necessarily difficult; rather, they are often taught in a manner that most cannot understand. As a result, I specialize in not only understanding the lessons but also, explaining them in layman's terms, simple analogies, etc. that anyone can easily understand.

I firmly believe that geniuses are not physically or genetically advance. They simply manage to see complex concepts in other ways that are easy to remember. I teach my students these similar perspective(s) and the process of developing the same interpretations on their own. In the end, I want them to be able to apply these learning techniques even without my help. At the same time, I make the science and math lessons fun through games and stories. This may not sound like serious science work, but from my experience, I can assure you that you'll become a master of these subjects as soon as you begin to enjoy learning them.

So, are you ready to master science & math?

Please, go ahead and sign up.

I am looking forward to meeting you.

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Biology

I have many years of experience tutoring students in the subject of Biology which ranges from middle school level to the college level.

As an instructor, I focus on improving the student's understanding of the critical details of the many different sub-fields of Biology and how they all work together in the human body (and the ecosystem for the Ecology field).

When it comes to test preparation, I also teach important test taking skills specific to standardized test in question i.e. NY Regents, SAT II, etc.

I also, explain the general theme of certain exams to help students understand what level of understanding the exam is testing.

Ultimately, I look to build the student's confidence, if not their interest, in the subject of Biology.

Tennis

I began learning to play tennis when I was 8 years old and continued playing through college. During my development, I participated in summer camps from 3rd grade to 5th grade, however, I usually played with kids that were 3 years older than me because their skill level matched my own. By the time I reached 11 years of age, the 15 year olds stopped attending the camp, so I joined the USTA and played in those tournaments until I entered high school.
I played #2 singles and #1 singles from my Freshman year through my Senior year. The only reason why I stopped playing tennis often is because the I didn't have a car to drive to the tennis courts which were located far from central campus. I still love to play and teach. I am currently teaching my girlfriend, who has never played before, and I would like to teach this fun sport to other people, too.
