I am a writer, theater performer and music performer very active in a wide range of media. In addition to having studied literature, many forms of writing, philosophy, and history, I also intensively studied music, dance and theater, all from a very young age.

My style is friendly and forward, and very well-rounded. Although I am formally educated, I take a 'whole view' approach to tutoring - it is much easier to learn something when you can see the whole picture, the why and the how. Because I have a lot of real-world experience, and I am constantly educating myself as an avid reader of history and literature, I have a rich trove of relatable ideas and experiences with which to connect ideas to foster understanding. One thing that always stopped me up as a kid was wanting to know the WHY - and once that was explained to me, learning the subject always became much easier and interesting.

I grew up working in a family business as a child through my teenage years - I believe in having a strong work ethic, and applying energy in constructive ways. All of this said, I enjoy tutoring and sharing knowledge with others, and I believe that once kids see a connection to themselves and their own interests in what they are learning, they will suddenly find that learning is something that they WANT to do.
