I have over twenty years of experience in admissions consulting and publications editing, which I combine with university teaching experience, small business management and arts administration (I run a non-profit gallery)to help you achieve your educational goals. My specialization is in college admissions material, but I am also deeply rooted in art and philosophy. I am excited by the aspirations and passions of college aspirants, and I will be happy to work with you to make the most of your professional/educational history or direct your future trajectory.

I am based in New York City, but adept at using skype, google docs and other internet-based tools to work with clients in other cities and countries. Our work together will be in-depth, challenging and professional: I am a sympathetic listener, but our work will be a real-world experience. Deadlines, milestones and goal-setting are crucial components of our project management.

Subject strengths: writing skills such as structure, grammar, clarity and focus; tutoring in philosophy, art history, classical music history, studio art; college admissions strategy and post-college career development; interpersonal skills coaching.

Great Hebrew tutor! Margaret is exactly what I was hoping to find in a tutor: very patient, practical, energetic, and a pleasure to interact with. She has been teaching me, over Skype, how to manage in Hebrew on my upcoming trip to Israel. She She remembers what we've covered from one lesson to the next and builds on it little by little. She encourages me to attempt to say things without worrying about the mistakes. ...
