I moved to France when I was very young and speak both English and French with the same level of fluency. I have a baccalaureate in French literature which includes knowledge in European history, visual art and art history.
I worked on humanitarian projects in Uganda as well as Mexico where I taught arts and crafts and English, however the subjects I have chosen to tutor in are the ones I am most passionate about.
Having recently graduated college I know how important it is to make learning interesting in order to enjoy the process rather then dread it.
I went to the American Academy of Dramatic Arts where I learned phonetics voice and speech as well as dialects. These courses gave me tools to teach language in a more effective manner.
To me the secret to retaining new information whether it be dates or a new language is understanding its value; we forget things when our brain doesn't register them as being worth remembering thus the learning in itself must be stimulating and interesting.
I am passionate about teaching, my hours are flexible and am very open to discussing a tutoring plan to make sure the tutoring sessions are as effective as possible.
