I have been a teacher at the elementary school and junior high school level for 12 years. I have also been a Mathematics tutor of students in grades 3-8. As a teacher and tutor, I encourage learning by using a number of different manipulatives, hands-on activities, and available technology. By incorporating class discussions, “show-AND-tell”, and cooperative learning I am able to facilitate a highly interactive and inquisitive class atmosphere. In addition, I utilize quizzes and tests to track students’ progress, locate areas of weakness, and prepare students for final exams and standardized tests.
