Using methods that work for each student, I have been able to get my students interested and excited about math themselves. Most of my students became my friends because they were able to master the subject or learned how to use tools and study skills to organize themselves and be able to quickly review. For standardized tests such as the ACT, I have materials on hand and practice tests to make my students feel confident that they can do it. And they do.
Having tutored students of various grade levels in Math, I am confident I can be an efficient and effective teacher of Algebra 1 to any student who is interested in overcoming the obstacles. I know how to figure out specific areas where the student needs help and give examples to overcome the issues that most students face. After being tutored by me, my students have not only done better, but they've excelled and been inspired by their own confidence. This is why I love to teach.

I'm an A student in undergrad Anatomy & Physiology. For my second Bachelor degree, I majored in Biology. I'm currently pursuing a Masters in Occupational Therapy, so Anatomy has to be studied and mastered for this. It's what I'm currently involved in.
Elementary Math is easy for me to teach as I've taught various Math subjects at all grade levels, including Calculus at college level.

I've taught students for ACT, SAT, and Compass tests in Math, English, and Science. I feel that the GED would be easier for me to teach. My skills allow me to figure out where each student is at, and teach him/her the specific things he/she has difficulty with.
I'm extremely good in teaching GRE Math. I use methods of finding solutions and I have a large repertoire of problems, including websites I can give you to practice on your own time and judge for yourself if you are getting better. You can drive the process if you know where your difficulties lie. Otherwise, I have a series of topics to step through, by the end of which you will be an expert in knowing how to solve the problems. Getting practice and being able to do the problems fast is an individual thing however, and the more you practice, the quicker you can do them. Also you will be able to remember tips and tricks based on problem types, but that will happen if you practice. I can teach the methods, and it's up to you to practice.
Throw me any numbers and calculations and I can show you how to follow some simple rules and get the correct answers. In many cases, you can check your answer, so you know if it is correct or not. I have proven methods, examples, and I can cater my material to a specific student based on what the particular student's strengths or weaknesses are.
A lot of practice goes into reading especially in early childhood years. I use a variety of computer programs and books and feel confident I can teach reading to someone who understands basic English.
I'm hesitant to take up any teaching for a child who doesn't hear the language at home or on a consistent basis because it is not only the reading, but the language itself that is a problem in that case.
The SAT math concepts need to be mastered in order to have confidence on test day. I have a lot of material and examples to help a student succeed. If you are able to solve a problem with confidence and speed, then you know you will succeed. I can give you that because I'm thoroughly familiar with the types of questions and I will teach you to understand the questions and come up with the correct solution.
