I am interested in helping students who would like to increase their scores in their examinations of SAT math and ACT math. Students who have problems in basic math are welcome as well. I am Chinese. I studied at the New School and earned MD at the new School. While I was in Hong Kong, I was a teacher for a couple of years. Given my experience in teaching and my knowledge in the subject, I am confident that I would help students who have problems with in their math studies. In particular, I will help increase students' score in SAT math and ACT math.
As for my method of tutoring, if we have more tutoring sessions, I will go through the fundamentals so that students understand the basics thoroughly before they tackle other more difficult problems. If students have limited time to prepare for their math examinations, I will go through some past test papers with them. In so doing, I can find out students' weak areas.Then I will explain the basic concepts of their weak areas and do some more questions in those areas. Through this special training, students will be more comfortable with the areas which they had problems before. In case if students still have some difficulties dealing with harder questions, I will explain those questions with them step by step and one by one. I am a trouble shooter and I will be very patient with students, helping them trouble shoot their weak areas.
