Hello, my name is Roanar. I was class of 2006 at Stuyvesant High School and 2010 at Cornell University. I studied chemical engineering in college and took many math and science courses (AP BC Calculus, Differential Equations, Linear Algebra, Intro to Physics, Advanced Intro to Chemistry, Honors Physical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and many engineering courses on top of that including Kinetics). I also took AP English, AP European History, and AP History. I have taught 4th and 5th graders and junior high school students at the Brooklyn Chinese Christian Church summer camp. I was a teacher assistant: checking their homework, grading test papers, and providing aid wherever it was needed. I have also tutored students at Groton High School near Ithaca, NY in math and chemistry. I have given several students private SAT tutoring. One of my students saw his English grade boost a 100 points and his math 200. My sophomore and junior year of college I taught International Teaching Assistants English. I taught them pronunciation, enunciation, grammar, vocabulary, and American culture. I find teaching deeply rewarding and am looking forward to teaching students and helping them along their academic career.
