My name is Jaqui, and I'm a 24 year-old Georgetown Alum. I graduated in the fall of 2009 and have worked the past two years as a legal secretary and reading tutor in California. I recently moved to Brooklyn and I am looking to get involved in tutoring again. I'm energetic, dedicated and passionate about helping others.
I have tutored a 7 year-old boy who fell into the "at risk" category with regard to his abilities in reading. By the end of our time together he had improved by 1.6 grade levels! As the oldest of three, I'm finding that I have the ability to work well with young kids in elementary school.
I studied political science and Spanish at Georgetown and will be attending law school next fall. Communication skills are one of my strong points and I like to have fun. I'm also very passionate about music and have a growing career as a singer also. I'm willing to meet for an interview soon and provide references. Thank you.
