I studied Photography and History at Empire State College (SUNY)Received a BA with high honors. I have extensive experience with medium format cameras, Rolleiflex and using a 35 mm Nikon camera shooting with black and white film. My focus is straight classical photography without the use of Photoshop and computer manipulation. I love to teach the joy and magic of using a manual camera. There are many lessons to learn including patience, composition, and waiting for that what Henri Cartier-Bresson called "The decisive moment."
I also have experience with digital SLR cameras and how to get beyond shooting on automatic. Learn how you can improve your technique and gain confidence.
I can show you the how to of cameras in a fun, hands on way, not sitting at a computer but getting out and making pictures. We can start at the very basics, from loading film (yes, they still make film) to how to select the right aperture and shutter speed.
I am now working on a long time project on the Fountains of Rome, and Sacred and Ancient Places of Southern Italy. I work freelance overseas and here in the States.
I would love to teach those who are interested in beautiful classical photography and I can help you with your digital cameras.
