Ellie has been great for our 4th-grade daughter. She took the time to get to know her and to learn her strengths and weaknesses. Our daughter has progressed wonderfully with Ellie's tutoring. She has a much better command of math concepts and ELA strategies, her grades have improved, and her confidence has increased. I appreciate that Ellie customizes her lessons to match my daughter's needs. She challenges her, encourages her, and supports her. My daughter found a friend as well as a tutor in Ellie. Ellie is always accessible to us. She makes it a point to address any questions or concerns we have. She keeps us updated on our daughter's progress each session and is open to any suggestions we may have. In short, Ellie is a very knowledgeable teacher who genuinely cares about her students. I am very happy that she plays such an important part in my daughter's education.

Let me start off by saying that it wasn't easy choosing to hire a tutor. Sometimes parents don't want to admit that their child needs that extra help that we are not able to give them; so we tend to approach situations with some form of skepticism. Ellie put all of my worries and fears to rest. Her open line of communication is invaluable. She has such an inviting spirit. We discussed what the issue is with my son, and right away she told us what materials we needed. From that point on it was full steam ahead.
Ellie will always give a full breakdown of what was done for that session, and any additional homework that has been given. With the dedication and work we have seen a steady improvement in the area that my son needed help with which was reading comprehension. Excellent communication skills, a genuine passion for what it is that she does, and an overall desire to see her students succeed is what makes Ellie the awesome tutor that she is. My son's steady improvement is proof positive of that. Highly Recommended!

Ms. Ellie Tutored me for about two months, she was really fun. I learned so much from her, she is the best tutor in the whole wide world. Before meeting her, I was really struggling with my writing, Ms Ellie gave strategies on how to write stories, and I got better at it. My mom is so proud of me for all the progress I made.
Ellie is always on time, very professional. I cannot command her high enough. She is dedicated to what she does. She always try new strategies with her students to find their strengths and weaknesses. she is patient and kind to her students, (which is a rarity these days.) If you are going to hire a tutor, I highly recommend her, you will be pleasantly surprised, because she gets the job done.

Over the summer, Ellie tutored my 1st grade son twice a week in reading and math. It was well worth the commitment of time and money. He went back to school with confidence in his academic abilities. I am currently a student of Ellie. She is helping me prepare for the shsat. She is patient, professional, and really knows how to communicate with her students. She helped me with the stress and worries the test has put on me. Ellie assigns you homework and helps you plan your lessons to make sure you improve but at the same time, makes sure you don't get stressed out. She boosts my confidence about the test and not only does she prepare me for the shsat but taught me skills for future references.

My son worked with Ellie on the ELA part of the SHSAT exam for the high school. She recognized his weak areas and his strength right from the first lessons and taught him useful tips and specific strategies on improving his performance for the test. She would find different ways to challenge him, and make practice with him fun. They worked on applying certain skills in different settings to make sure he feels confident in what he has learned. She is able to challenge a student and prepare him for the test even in a short period of time. Besides that, Ellie is a very optimistic, open minded and responsive person, accepting any feedbacks and willing to discuss any concerns or parents worries about their child's performance. I am happy that we hired her.
