I graduated from Touro College of NY with a Masters of Science degree in Special Education. I attained a grade point average of 4.00. I have a passion for teaching and tutoring students of all ages.
I believe students learn by the inclusion of a curriculum that addresses the needs and the desired outcome of the learning process. Students need teachers who teach in a manner that grabs, holds, and tickles the student's curiosity and interest. For me, teaching style and teaching techniques are more important than the actual curricula taught. I have this belief because students can learn or have an interest to learn any subject if the person teaching the subject presents the information in a fun, informative, and interesting manner. This includes the inclusion of lessons that are planned for differentiated learning.
I have 30 years of experience teaching children and adults reading, writing, organizational skills, cooking, arts, speech, test preparation, and test taking skils. I believe the learning process of an individual must be understood by the teacher or tutor so that the student may accompish his or her desired educational goal. I create fun, interactive, informative, and creative lessons to teach subjects to students.
