I am a teacher of many subjects. I love teaching math because there is always a right answer. I like ELA and history because sometimes there isn't a right answer! I have helped many students prepare for tests, as well as helping them with regular school-work.
I started working as a tutor in 2009, after moving back to NY from Korea, where I taught English, with an emphasis on test preparation.
Before ever getting into academic subjects, I was a dancer, choreographer and photographer! I have a small company which produces multi-media dance theater projects, which means that I am very creative, good with deadlines and have a flexible schedule.
My varied experiences have made it possible for me work effectively with students of all ages and back-grounds who have different strengths and weaknesses. It's really thrilling to see students change and grow and to have a positive influence in their lives and educations. I feel consistently challenged and stimulated and in the past few years, I have learned a great deal and grown as a teacher.
I am always interested in expanding my teaching schedule to include new learners in every subject.
