David’s subjects

Adobe Lightroom

Adobe Lightroom is a simpler, less expensive alternative to Photoshop for photographers seeking to "develop," manage and edit their digital images and archives. You can burn, dodge, crop and color correct along with many other Lightroom creative enhancements. David teaches all versions up to the current version of Lightroom 5.

And, since Aperture and iPhoto are being discontinued this fall of 2014, he can also show you how to convert your libraries and import them into Lightroom.

David can guide you through the basics and then into the advanced features where you can take your photography further than you ever imagined. You'll find Lightroom a welcome change if you've been frustrated with Photoshop and David will get you up and running with this program in almost no time at all.

Adobe Photoshop

Learn basic retouching or complex multi-element photo-compositing using layers, masks paths and more with longtime Photoshop retouching and working professional photographer David W.

David is highly experienced in digital image retouching. He has taught hundreds of Photoshop classes at FIT over 10 years and privately instructed professional photographers and beginners alike. He also recommends considering Adobe Lightroom as an alternative, should you be just starting out with digital image processing, as it is the perfect first step to retouching.

You'll find that David listens to your expectations and creates lessons based on your needs, not from a book. David is familiar with all versions of Photoshop, including the most recent update, Photoshop CC.

He attended the Fashion Institute of Technology, NYU Film School and has a B.A. from Empire State College, Metropolitan Center in Digital Photography.
