I am recently retired from the New York City school system after teaching science for over twenty years. I hold a doctorate in biology and conducted research in fat and alcohol metabolism. I can tutor all areas of biology, as well as high school chemistry and algebra. I aim to help students develop independent research skills, showing them how to locate sources and distill information relevant to the problem to be solved. Equipped with these skills, students will be prepared for the Regents and SATs, and for college level work.
