Adobe Illustrator

I've been a full time professor in graphic design at Touro College in New York City for the past 12 years. My regular courses consist of teaching the current versions of the Adobe Suite mainly InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop. I teach introduction to advanced levels in the degree program. I've also managed several professional freelance productions from layout to print.

Adobe Photoshop

For the past 12 years I've been teaching college level courses in graphic design as a full time professor at Touro College in New York City. My curriculum focuses on the Adobe Suite as a primary tool for the realization and production of graphic design material. My knowledge of Photoshop spans back to version 4 and I've been actively participating in every version upgrade in both a professional and academic capacities. Guiding students to a deeper understanding of the limitless possibilities of this application in is one of my prime motivators as a teacher.

Drawing

I have a MFA in Fine Art. My area of concentration was in printmaking, but I have extensive experience in all traditional studio techniques (including graphite, charcoal, pen and ink, watercolor, gouache and oil painting). I have taught many semesters in basic drawing techniques. My lessons included introduction to drawing materials, basic shapes, value, line, texture, perspective, and anatomy.

Approved Subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet certified in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
