Hello students and parents!
I'm a Harvard-educated academic coach invested in the success of my students. My philosophy is that test-taking strategies are just the starting point--I want to help my clients set goals for themselves, find motivation and develop a love of learning.
I have worked with a variety of elite educational institutions, including Noble & Greenough School and Ivy Town Tutoring, as well as private clients in the Boston area. I earned my Masters degree from LUISS Guido Carli School of Government (110/110 con lode, as they say in Italian) while on a fellowship in Italy. While based in Rome, I also tutored university students on spoken and written English expression.
My goal as a tutor is to give my students the confidence they need to see standardized tests not as the ultimate arbiter of life success, but as a little game that we all have to play to move on to the next fun stage in life, which is where my focus on long-term goal setting comes in. I find that when students understand these tests as a step toward a goal that they set for themselves, they are far more motivated to do well, as well as a real pleasure to work with.
