Hallo everyone!

My name is Blessing and I may be the tutor you're looking for!

I hold a B.S in clinical psychology and Japanese from Tufts University where I worked for a year as a reading and writing tutor/homework helper with elementary school students. During that time I gained experience working with children of all backgrounds, including students with learning difficulties. I primarily tutor in reading and writing but I can also tutor in elementary to middle school-level subjects (i.e. science, social studies, language arts). During my undergrad years I also worked with NYC students preparing for the reading and writing sections of the SATs.

I am currently a student at Columbia University where I am working on a pre-health degree; I have hopes of attending law school in the next two years! Besides tutoring, I have a lot of experience working with children since I have also babysat. I believe one of the best ways a child can learn is through hands-on, personalized instruction given in an open and interactive atmosphere that allows the student to think freely and to problem-solve. However, my specific methods vary depending on the subject and the student. I guarantee that I will be able to tailor the tutoring session to your child's specific needs.
